 在滚齿机研发技术上国外先进大型滚齿机企业不断攻克滚齿机技术新领域，成就滚齿机技术新巅峰的时候，我国的滚齿机企业也在最近10年间，不断的在高端滚齿机领域不断的追赶世界先进滚齿机在高端领域的制造技术。我国的滚齿机的发展起步主要是得益于我国在机床产业上经过多年的积累在机床生产上具有一定的经验，虽然在滚齿机制造领域国内的滚齿机大型企业不多，但是由于我国在机床产业拥有良好的基础条件，因此在滚齿机的研发和生产上在追赶世界先进滚齿机的步伐上和过程中比较顺利。在我国滚齿机经过大型滚齿机制造企业的科研，目前我国开发出第四代滚齿机GENESISTM 130H，GENESISTM 130H比普通数控滚齿机的性能有了很大提升，这也是当今世界上唯一的第四代数控滚齿机。由于数控铣床目前来说国产的没有具有世界竞争力的数控系统，在数控滚齿机上实用的滚齿机数控系统仍然是采用西门子840D数控系统，具有7个数控轴（X轴式径向轴，Y轴是切向轴，Z轴式轴向轴，A是刀架旋转轴，B是滚刀主轴，C是工件轴，Z2是尾架轴，），其中，4个为联动轴（X、Z、B和C）；采用干切技术，高速钢滚刀切削；转速达955r/min，线速度达180m/min，完成单件全部（包括上下料）过程仅需19s；精度高于DIN Class7；用于精密加工时可达到DIN Class5甚至更高，真正达到高精度、高速度。
